Your Discord session
mlika built DisDeleter as a freemium app. This service is provided by mlika and is intended for use as is.
If you choose to use this service, you agree to the collection and use of information in line with this policy. Anything collected is used to provide and improve the app, and is never shared except as described here.
When you connect your account you sign in on Discord's own page, shown inside the app. DisDeleter never sees your Discord password.
What Discord's page hands back is a session token. That token is encrypted and stored on your device, and it is used only to call Discord's API on your behalf — to list your chats and to delete the messages you selected. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Signing out of the app removes it.
Information we collect
Some personally identifiable information is collected. Your Discord session is stored on your device and is not collected in any way, but when you sign in, your Discord account id, name and avatar link are kept in the app's database along with your credit and your deletion counters, and that same account id identifies you in the app's usage statistics, which also record how its screens are used, with their text masked. The app uses third-party services that may collect further information used to identify you.
Your messages and data packages
Your messages are read on your device and deleted directly against Discord's API. The text of a message is never uploaded to us and never stored anywhere except on your phone, for as long as the app needs it to carry out the run you started.
The same is true of a Discord data package: when you import a package.zip export, it is unpacked and read on your device. It is not uploaded.
Deletion is permanent. Once a message is deleted from Discord, neither you, nor we, nor Discord can bring it back.
Log data
When an error occurs, the app collects log data through third-party products: device name, operating system version, app configuration, the time and date of use, and other statistics.
Cookies
The app does not use cookies itself, but third-party code and libraries it includes may use them to collect information and improve their services. You can accept or refuse these cookies; if you refuse them, some parts of the service may not work.
This website
www.disdeleter.com is a static site hosted on Vercel. It uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views and measure loading performance in aggregate. They set no tracking cookies and do not build a profile of you.
The only thing this site stores in your browser is your light/dark theme choice, kept in localStorage so the page does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Service providers
Third-party companies and individuals may be employed to provide the service, to support it, or to analyse how it is used. They have access to your personal information only to carry out these tasks, and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
The services DisDeleter relies on, each with its own policy:
Security
Commercially acceptable means are used to protect your personal information, but no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, so its absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children's privacy
This service does not address anyone under the age of 13, and no personally identifiable information is knowingly collected from children. If a child under 13 is found to have provided personal information, it is deleted immediately; parents or guardians who are aware of this can get in touch so it can be removed.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete account removes the record the app keeps for you — your Discord account id, name, avatar link, credit and deletion counters — and signs you out, which discards the stored session token.
This does not touch your Discord account itself, and it cannot restore messages the app has already deleted.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time, so please review this page periodically. Changes are posted here and take effect as soon as they are posted.
